I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump. Ugh – not fun at all. I forgot to do my wrap up for June, which was a fine month, I think I read 7 books. But it’s more than halfway through July, and I’ve only read 1 book. This is really out of character for me. I’m in the middle of two books – Yesteryear on audio and Hot Girls Murder Club on Kindle. I’ve heard really mixed things on Yesteryear, and I’m about halfway through. I’m kind of loving hating the main character. She’s really despicable and I do want to know what the heck is going on – but the writing style is very TikTok influenced (ie, not good), and I’m kind of ready for it to be done. Hot Girls Murder Club is picking up – the first 15% read at a snail’s pace, but I think I’ll be able to finish it this week hopefully. I don’t know if it’s just the heatwave of summer, or work stress, or life stress, or what, but reading isn’t holding my attention like it usually does. I’m just going to take this as a sign to relax and just try to enjoy instead of forcing it. Oh well – sorry I haven’t posted in way too long – it’s because I’ve got nothing really important book-wise to say.
